For our next edition of Who’s That Linqian, we sat down with our Senior Product Manager in San Francisco, Laura Faya!

Q: What’s your position and how long have you been at Linqia?

A: I’m a Senior Product Manager. I’ve been at Linqia for 2.5 months.

Q: Tell me about your role. 

A: I manage strategy, roadmap and execution of new product development for the Linqia platform.

Q: Describe Linqia with one word. 

A: Community.

Q: What’s your favorite core value and why? 

A: Act like an owner, because it drives accountability and the team takes this to heart in everything they do.

Q: What’s your favorite part of your day?

A: Getting to chat with people about exciting ideas both during meetings and in side conversations.

Q: Why do you think influencer marketing is so important?

A: Because it’s about empowering influencers and brands to tell compelling stories in a more authentic way than traditional advertising.

Q: What is Linqia’s culture like? 

A: Collaborative and fun. Peeps here have grit and love a good challenge, but they also understand that making great things happen requires being human and empathetic.

Q: Why do you work at a startup? 

A: I have the freedom to make an impact in something I love to do.

Q: What are you passionate about outside of work? 

A: Art and yoga.

Q: Hidden talent?

A: Dancing

Q: What would you like to be famous for? 

A: Helping people build awareness for self-improvement. Improving things in the world that need care starts with our own behavior, building awareness is key to igniting change.

Q: Ping pong or foosball? And which Linqian would you like to challenge?

A: Ping pong. My boss Chris, because I want his window seat 🙂
